About The Bomb
The Bomb is a professional four-piece tribute band that embraces the decade of the '80s and plays all the top new wave dance and FM Radio party hits from that era (as opposed to '80s hair band music or heavy metal).
Whether you need The Bomb for a concert, a theatre or festival, a private or corporate event or a theme night at your venue, the band are guaranteed to play all of the huge hits you would hear on the ever popular '80s nights on a radio station such as Toronto's Boom 97.3.
The Bomb covers well known music by Bowie, U2, Tear For Fears, Duran Duran, A-ha, Hall and Oates, The Cure, Simple Minds, Billy Idol, Prince, The Cars, Depeche Mode, The Clash and much, much more.
The Bomb is very active in the GTA live music circuit, regularly playing corporate and private bookings and as well popular live music venues.
The Bomb takes pride in their sound, their performance, their image and their professionalism, always dressing the part & putting on a show full of energy and exuberance, rather than just going through the motions and just ‘playing the gig’.
If required, The BOMB travels with their own soundman and complete sound and lighting system, fully equipped for most any venue.
The Bomb have shared stages as opening act for The Spoons, Men Without Hats, Big Wreck and Carol Pope and Rough Trade and have played large shows and venues such as Rotary Rib festivals, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, The Phoenix, Ride For Sight, Niagara Vinyards, The Lindsay Ex, as well as Music Halls across Ontario

Shaun Gillespie has been a fixture in The BOMB since its conception & is the multi instrumentalist behind the synthesizer and effect layers so necessary to recreate the soundtrack of our youth.
